Dr Vanessa Quick is a consultant rheumatologist at Bedfordshire Hospitals. She studied medicine at Cambridge and University College London and did her specialist rheumatology training in the Bristol and Bath region. In 2016 she was awarded a GCA travelling fellowship with Professor Dasgupta at Southend. She leads Bedfordshire Hospitals’ ultrasound-driven GCA fast track diagnosis service. She is also a member of the GCA specialist panel for the East of England. She performs her own ultrasound scans for GCA diagnosis, regularly teaches at national and international GCA ultrasound training courses and helped to develop the British Society of Rheumatology (BSR) e-learning module for GCA ultrasound. She has published book chapters, review articles and research on GCA and PMR and her work on GCA fast track pathways ha won a BSR award.
