Over the past few years we have had some absolutely brilliant webinars on PMR, GCA and related topics. In PMRGCAuk week 2024, the standard was no exception and we are delighted to be able to share them with you here.

We would like to thank Will Gregory, Consultant Physiotherapist and Clinical Lead of Rheumatology at Salford Royal Hospital and BSR Vice President; and Dr Sarah Mackie, Associate Professor in Vascular Rheumatology at University of Leeds and Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Wil Gregory’s webinar built on his previous ones highlighting how exercise can be beneficial for people with PMR and GCA and how to build on your activity levels. It was also the launch of our summer Marathon in a Month campaign.

If you are joining the Marathon in a Month campaign, please see details of how to join in here.

You can access our booklet Maintaining Movement, Activity and Exercise with PMR here.

Dr Sarah Mackie’s webinar explored some of the complex aspects of living and dealing with PMR and GCA.

The bisphosphonate information sheet referenced by Dr Mackie can be found here.

Our final website shone a light on various aspects of the charity with talks from trustees and staff on the subjects of support groups, the helpline, awareness ambassadors, membership and the charity’s lobbying and research. If you’d like to find out more about us, do watch the video below.

We have other webinars throughout the year which are open to members of the charity. If you are not a member but would like to be, you can sign up here or email charon@pmrgca.org.uk .
