People with PMR share their video stories

Posted on 11 December 2024

As part of the PMR Paradox project looking into the barriers to PMR diagnosis, we asked our charity members if they would be willing to share their experiences of PMR. Many wanted to get involved. We worked collaboratively with our volunteer storytellers providing a brief of what areas we wanted to cover and how to record videos in the right format. We then employed a videographer to edit and splice the videos together. The resulting videos provide powerful insights into what it’s like to get PMR: from the initial symptoms, to diagnosis and living with the condition.

You can view the videos here.

These videos are for people who are newly diagnosed and for those living with the conditions for much longer. They are also really helpful for sharing with family and friends so they can better understand what a loved one might be going through.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed their time and story to make these videos possible.
